Darkness Wrapped in Light, pt 1
In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful. I bear witness that there is no God but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger.
Discernment is vital. All of the information we have is not useful. Some of it is disseminated to destroy or disrupt The Messianic work.
2 Timothy 4: 3 reads: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
In this context sound means “based on reason, sense or judgment.” The truth is simple.
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught us what Allah, in the Person of Master Fard Muhmmad revealed to him. One of those revelations is “How to Eat to Live” in a two book volume. It may be summed up in the following points:
- Do not eat but one meal every 24 hours, 48 hours, or 72 hours and nothing in-between meals.
- Eat the best foods you can afford.
- Prepare your own food and cook your food.
- Think Good Thoughts.
He taught that Master Fard Muhammad revealed to him “Food keeps us here and food takes us away.” If we follow what he taught us in what foods to eat and stay away from, what foods to store in our homes, and take long intervals between meals, we would live a longer life up to 1000 years. It was revealed that a man dying at 100 years would be considered a baby.
“Truth is Stranger than Fiction”
Some truth is decisive; straight to the point. When it is decisive there is no room for our own interpretations. Some truth has to be expressed allegorically; and it is there where danger lies because the ego can be tempted to indulge its limited pool of awareness and knowledge of the Sciences of Life.
Allah reveals in the Holy Quran chapter 3, The Family of Amran, verse 7: “He it is Who has revealed the Book to thee; some of its verses are decisive– they are the basis of the Book– and others are allegorical. Then those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part of which is allegorical, seeking to mislead, and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. None knows its interpretation save Allah. And those firmly rooted in knowledge, they say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord. And none mind except men of understanding.
*Guided by Allah, The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, made the correction to the Maulauna Muhammad Ali translation of the Holy Quran as you read it above. The change is right and exact.
“There is more to be understood in the words,” but the diameter of any of our studies must be in context and out of that which is decisive. Context refers to the circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed.
The decisive is foundational; it is like a root. The stronger the root is the more durable the tree and the better its fruit. Don’t over complicate the decisive, keep it simple; and, study within the context.
KEY: “History is above all our studies. The most attractive and best qualified to reward our research. As it develops the springs and motives of human actions, and displays the consequences of circumstances, which operates most powerfully on the destinies of the human being.” - The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad
The value of something is determined by its applicability and usefulness towards a solution.
Time is always a factor. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has taught that “Time dictates the agenda.” The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, “It is time that brings things about.”We are in what is called the (age) of information.
Is all that is coming to us of knowledge useful, relevant, applicable? Is it Light capable of guiding through the thick darkness of ignorance and confusion, or, is it darkness wrapped in light?
The ability to discern may be life or death
